According to Delhi Police, the
incident came to light when the account holder received a message on his mobile
phone to deduct money from the account in which Rs 2,500 was deducted from the
account and the remaining amount in the account was deducted only. 275. After
seeing the message, the account holder contacted the bank and informed about
the transfer of Rs. 234,000 in the account. According to the police, the
complainant contacted the police and said that he had not made any transaction
from his account.
A major police investigation revealed that transactions worth Rs. 234,297 had
been made from the relevant account within two months and further
investigations were carried out. Through a registered account on which the
police arrested Pankaj Kumar, the accused told the police that a friend of his
had asked him to transfer the money by creating an ID and password.
